She lived there with her three sons, Jack, Willaim and Thomas. William is my grandfather and he designed alterations including the bay window for the house. He was later chief architect in the Office of Byrnes who designed St. Joseph's church in Terenure along with others throughout Dublin and was the requested architect by the Catholic Bishops even though he was a staunch Church of Ireland man himself.
