But what a work of care and craftsmanship went into the restorations.<br />You have to stand back and stare and observe the details of the craftsmanship. In my humble view this is good to last another 150 years.<br /><br />The interiors I believe are being worked on and sensitively restored by the same team of craftspeople and i am told if the Wateford City Council would actually work with the owners<br />to speed up Section 57 clearances and planning permission clearances our famous T & H Doolans<br />would be open for business sooner rather than later in the Cultural Quarter of Waterford City Centre. The sooner the better, because it is such a Cultural Landmark on Great Georges Street, Waterford. In my family research, I have been able to find out that my great-grandfather, James Hennessy, owned a business a 4 George's Street. His business was as an Auctioneer and Valuator. The year was 1863 until his death in 1879.
