Continuing Ministerial Education

The Ministry training days continue in March with two workshops on ‘The Adventure of Prayer’ and ‘Faith Development.’

The Revd Ann-Marie Stuart, F.J., of the Kilcolman Union of Parishes is leading two sessions on Monday 4 March in the Rectory in Askeaton, Co Limerick, from 11 am to 3.30 pm. Please note, however, that this programme is offered the daytime only, and there is no evening programme that day.

These training days are designed for clergy and readers in the diocese, but all who are interested are welcome. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, but participants are asked to bring their own sandwiches.

During the February workshops, Canon Patrick Comerford led discussions on ‘Praying with Icons’ and ‘Praying with the Jesus Prayer.’ Resources for these two workshops are available on the CME Limerick & Killaloe site.

Meanwhile, Patrick continues to publish resources for preaching and liturgy on Monday mornings designed for the following Sunday. These include reflections on the readings, collects and post-communion prayers, suggested hymns and illustrations suitable for service sheets or power point presentations.

The resources are available on the CME Limerick & Killaloe site: https://cmelimerick.blogspot.com/

This half-page report is published in the March 2019 edition of 'Newslink,' the magazine of the Church of Ireland United Dioceses of Limerick, Killaloe and Ardfert (p 12)
