I wrote last week of how Comberford Hall is back on the market again, and how the church in Comberford Village – the Church of Saint Mary and George.
This week, it has been brought to my attention that Comberford Hall Cottage is also up for sale – this time through Hunters, the estate agency with offices in Lichfield, Tamworth and parts of the West Midlands, who are inviting offers in the region of £495,000.
Comberford Hall Cottage is also a Grade II listed building within Lichfield District Council’s area. The semi-detached cottage directly adjoins Comberford Hall, and the two houses are at the end of the same imposing tree-lined private driveway.
However, Comberford Hall Cottage enjoys its own gardens and privacy, and is being sold freehold.
This is a house with character, close to Comberford village which is about two miles north of Tamworth and about five or six miles east of Lichfield, surrounded by farmland and set in beautiful countryside.
The accommodation includes a reception hall, guest cloakroom, study, lounge, dining room, farmhouse kitchen, utility room and orangery at ground floor level, and on the first floor there are four bedrooms, including an en-suite master bedroom, a gallery landing, a south-facing sun terrace, and a family bathroom.
Outside, the rear garden has a patio and sun terrace, and mature gardens, stocked with a variety of shrubs and mature trees, including a magnificent oak tree. The house also has a double garage.
Hunters are at 7 Bore Street, Lichfield, WS13 6LJ (Telephone: 01543 419000) and 6 Victoria Road, Tamworth, B79 7HL (Telephone: 01827 66277).
